Come, come...when facts and figures of socio-economic inequality move light-footedly across the sprung floor of the variety show. With music, magic and artistry, the height of (unpleasant) truths is increased. The VARIETÉ DER UNGLEICHHEIT is loud, colorful, shimmering and at the same time absurd, serious and bittersweet. An evening that takes information and entertainment equally seriously and sometimes somewhat awkwardly and naively stages the various levels of inequality. Variety stands for variety, diversity and different identities. But we also want to treat unequal things unequally - in the spirit of equality! Where does the magic of capitalism distract us from what is actually happening? And how can we get to the bottom of the illusion?
