Das Tagebuch der Anne Frank

In the organizer's words:

Amsterdam, 1944: a 15-year-old girl looks through an attic window. With her is her diary, in which she meticulously records her life. Something distinguishes her from teenagers today: she is Jewish and lives in hiding with seven others in the rear building of Prinsengracht 263. Her name is Anne Frank. She will not survive the Holocaust. Only her diary remains, allowing us to witness a time that must never be repeated.

For THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, we are inviting a Polish artist to adapt this material. Following the guest performance MARGARETE by the Polish performance team TURKOWSKI&NOWACKA, we are continuing our cooperation series with our neighboring country Poland. With this theater series, which thrives on honest encounters and solidarity, we want to counteract the existing cracks in a common European vision.
