Das Rote Sofa: Kauan Soares (Ballett am Rhein)

Attention: This edition of the Red Sofa will take place in English.

The Red Sofa is TMD's long-standing discussion format. Guests from Düsseldorf's art and culture scene take a seat on an actual red sofa, which had its first life as a stage sofa in the Schauspielhaus. There they chat with Sascha Förster, the director of the TMD, about their career paths, biographical highlights and current projects.

In January, Kauan Soares takes a seat on the Red Sofa. The Brazilian-born dancer has been a company member of Ballett am Rhein since the 2020/21 season. He has also been working on his own projects as a choreographer for some time. Kauan will talk to Sascha about his path to dance, his favorite moments with Ballett am Rhein and his wishes for the future. The two will also talk about Kauan's latest work, the dance video If it were us. The dance video has been complementing our special exhibition Excellent Footwork since December.

🇬🇧 The Red Sofa is a talk series by TMD with artists from Düsseldorf. In January, Kauan Soares, dancer with @ballettamrhein and choreographer, will talk with Sascha Förster, the host, about his career, his wishes for the future, and his latest dance video Wenn wir es wären. This video is shown as part of the exhibition Excellent Feet.
