Darren Kiely

Darren Kiely hails from a picturesque town in Co. Cork, Ireland. Darren Kiely's folk-pop sound is the result of his love of traditional Irish music mixed with modern influences such as The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons and Noah Kahan. Darren learned to play the tin whistle at the age of five, picked up the fiddle at eight and eventually taught himself to play the guitar. Darren began singing in 2019 and quickly gained attention for his raw and fervent vocals and soulful delivery. After winning numerous national awards for traditional Irish music, Darren moved to New York in 2022 to further develop his own music and sound, and soon after to the songwriting capital of Nashville. Darren's unique presentation of folk-infused pop and lush storytelling, reflecting the backdrop of the Irish countryside where he grew up, is at the forefront of his debut EP Lost, released last fall. The seven-track project explores the triumphant war of overcoming self-doubt, the struggle to find oneself, the questioning of feelings and the search for answers. Lost includes the new track "Mom & Dad," which debuted in the Top 40 on the Irish Singles Chart and also landed in the Top 5 on the Irish Homegrown Chart, as well as the fan-favorite No. 1 hit "Sunrise." In the fall, Kiely took his new music on the road with THE ROAD HOME TOUR, playing sold-out shows in his native Ireland. Following his headline tour, Kiely toured Europe with the 502s. The singer is currently on his international headline tour THE LOST TOUR, which ends in Ireland in May.
