For the third time, Daria Assmus and Marcus Schinkel invite their audience to climb aboard their sonic spaceship and explore new musical spheres together.
In the first half of the concert, the Bonn native debuts with a series of her own songs - far removed from predictable radio pop, somewhere between Billie Eilish and Bilderbuch. Her German lyrics deal with major social issues, served up with edgy beats, driving bass lines and crisp brass riffs.
In the second half, the Sonic Lake Collective literally takes off: the ship steers into the vastness of the electronic music cosmos and unfolds a hypnotic universe of sound. Techno and triphop elements meet jazz - a symbiosis that puts the audience in a trance-like state. Dense synthesizer patterns meet lyrical piano sounds and catchy melodies weave themselves into a tapestry of sound that seems both familiar and new.
Daria Assmus' multi-faceted voice gently guides the listener through places of longing and repeatedly grounds them with a powerful soul timbre. Some already know her from "Daria Assmus and the Heavy Soulband", "Daria and the Groove Foundation" or her global pop band "RasgaRasga". She already wowed audiences with Brasssonanz at the Elbphilharmonie in 2018.
The renowned crossover pianist Marcus Schinkel moves masterfully between the genres of jazz, rock and classical music. He is no longer a stranger to Bonn thanks to his program "Crossover Beethoven" or "Classic meets Gipsy" with guitarist Joscho Stephan.
At their side, driving beats from drummer Konrad Matheus, Robert Schulenburg on bass and synth bass and Florian Hertel on trombone ensure a rousing sound experience. This time, too, they promise more exciting musical surprise guests!
