Over three decades ago, B-Real, Sen Dog and DJ Muggs started a trip that still shapes pop culture today. Their unique sound combines laid-back hip-hop beats with Latin elements and their signature raps. Named after a street in their native Los Angeles, Cypress Hill blew up the music scene with their debut in 1991 and their singles "How I Could Just Kill A Man" and "The Phuncky Feel One" became underground hits. They finally celebrated their international breakthrough in the summer of 1993 with the release of their second longplayer "Black Sunday". Hits like "Insane In The Brain" made the album a worldwide sensation. It shot to number 1 in the Billboard charts, received three GRAMMY nominations and went triple platinum in the USA alone and is therefore rightly regarded as a rap classic.
