CRY ME A RIVER

The vocal ensemble "The Present" has created a musical-performative reaction to the climate crisis: An evening all about shedding tears - about what is lost, about those who will be extinct the day after tomorrow and about the water that is disappearing. The most beautiful songs about crying are played to accompany scenic actions in the room and movements by the audience. In addition to Franz Schubert's "Gefrorne Tränen" and John Dowland's "Flow my tears", the ensemble sings Helene Fischer's "Hinter den Tränen" and Justin Timberlake's "Cry me a river". Tears upon tears. What gives comfort is the music.
