People emigrated from Columbus station until 1974. The parents of photographer Christine Kisorsy, who first met in America, also set off from here. In 2022, she embarked on a photographic exploration of Columbus Station. The resulting photos, a selection of which are now on display, uniquely capture the traces not only of her own history in the present.

About the photographer:

Christine Kisorsy, born in New York and raised in Bremerhaven, works as a photographer and curator at the intersection of the visual art forms of photography and film. In her work, she explores themes from history, architecture and everyday culture in a museum and artistic context.
