Dance of the plastic bags to Debussy's ballet music - poetic, beguiling, graceful | Ages 5 and up
How old does a plastic bag get? How long is it actually in use? Not that long, compared to the time it spends wandering around the planet, blown by the wind. This is where its true, autonomous life begins. Air surrounds us everywhere, it flows through our bodies and supplies us with oxygen. Air is movement, it becomes wind that blows over water and land and always carries its own stories with it.
In a circus arena made of fans, colorful bags swirl through the air as if by magic. A conductor transforms them into ever-changing dancing figures. They dance alone or come together for a pas de deux and appear more human with every movement. To the music of Claude Debussy's "L'Après-midi d'un faune", the fascinatingly light-footed choreography "L'Après-midi d'un foehn" is created. The play on words is aimed at the Bavarian foehn wind, which not only causes headaches and fits of weakness, but can also lead to a total loss of control.
