Christmas Swing

A little swing makes everything easier - at least if Andrej Hermlin has his way. Andrej Hermlin and his Swing Dance Orchestra is one of Germany's most charming and successful big bands. The musicians have dedicated themselves from head to toe to a musical era that produced names such as Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington - true to style and also visually down to the smallest detail.

With their "Christmas Swing" program, they have created a wonderful, romantic Christmas revue that is unparalleled in this country. Famous American Christmas melodies are played in the style of the 1930s to 1950s. Against an enchanting backdrop, the ensemble combines musically contemplative moments with grooving, festive swing on the day before Christmas Eve. The performance is authentic in every respect: with tailor-made costumes, old microphones and original instruments.
