Overwhelming demand, enthusiastic audiences, praise from the critics. As Chris de Burgh's two tours of Germany in 2024 were a sensational triumph, the popular singer/songwriter will be back in Germany in 2025. The motto of his performances between July 25 and August 17 remains the same as last year: "50LO". The title refers on the one hand to the fact that he is performing solo and celebrating his 50th anniversary, and on the other to his current album: "For '50', I have selected my favorite songs from each of my previous studio albums," says the singer/guitarist/pianist, "and recorded three new songs to go with them." The stage pro also reveals a few things about the concerts: "This tour is about me reminiscing about my beginnings, when I performed solo with guitar or piano accompaniment. I'll also be talking about the music at the guest appearances, about the origins of the songs and their background." Chris de Burgh will also perform some cover versions, as his idols include Elvis Presley, Toto, Lennon/McCartney, Paul Simon and Bob Dylan.

"The Irishman fills over two hours with all his class and his incredible number of songs alone. And he only accompanies himself the whole time: sometimes on the guitar, sometimes on the piano" (SWR4). The Passauer Neue Presse wrote about one of his "unforgettable concerts": "Chris de Burgh first plays his slow, cozy, emotional songs. Then the mood swells more and more. And by the time 'Lady In Red' is played, many of them are over. The visitors lie in each other's arms, kisses are exchanged, tears are dried ... Chris de Burgh sings about love and peace - his epic anti-war song 'Borderline' is a must. With the line 'but these are only boys and I will never know, how men can see the wisdom in a war', the audience rises to its feet and joins in with great applause."
