After two sold-out tours in 2024, Chris de Burgh follows up with best-of concerts in fall '25 - including new songs and cover versions

Audience demand for Chris de Burgh's concerts remains high. That's why the singer/songwriter, who is highly praised by critics for his first-class guest appearances, is coming to Germany again this year in the fall after a summer tour, as he did in 2024.

The motto of his appearances between October 13 and November 3 remains the same as in July/August: "50LO". The title refers on the one hand to the fact that he is performing solo and celebrating his 50th stage anniversary, and on the other to his current album: "For '50', I have selected my favorite songs from each of my previous studio albums," says the singer/guitarist/pianist, "and recorded three new songs to go with them." The stage pro also reveals a few things about the concerts: "This tour is about me reminiscing about my beginnings, when I performed solo with guitar or piano accompaniment. I'll also be talking about the music at the guest appearances, about the origins of the songs and their background." Chris de Burgh will also be performing some cover versions, as his idols include Elvis Presley, Toto, Lennon/McCartney, Paul Simon and Bob Dylan.

On the occasion of one of his "unforgettable concerts", the "Passauer Neue Presse" wrote: "Chris de Burgh first plays his slow, cozy, emotional songs. Then the mood swells more and more. And by the time 'Lady In Red' is played, many people have lost it. The visitors lie in each other's arms, kisses are exchanged, tears are dried... Chris de Burgh sings about love and peace - his epic anti-war song 'Borderline' is a must. With the line "but these are only boys and I will never know, how men can see the wisdom in a war", the audience rises to its feet and joins in with great applause."
