CHILEK's music cannot be confined to one genre, and pushes itself directly into the ear, bypassing many a listening habit. The songs on their debut album "close to the end", which they have reworked with accordionist Roman D. Metzner and guitarist Yahwe, are full of melodic intensity and lightness. The band of actor Matthias Hecht, who plays in several productions at the Theaterhaus G7, celebrates melancholy as well as the rhythmically flaring liveliness of being.
