When you can no longer trust anyone, even a plastic fish becomes a guide. A touching book about trust - Charlotte Brandi in the taz Talk at the Leipzig Book Fair.
Ella, 16 years old and at home in Dortmund, keeps friendships at a distance. Her uncontrolled outbursts of rage have isolated her too often and her family also seems broken: Her parents are on the verge of divorce and there is no connection to her siblings. Only Eckard, the old neighbor, has always been a reliable friend. He bequeathed something unexpected to Ella: a singing plastic fish.
