Since his breakthrough in 1971 with the single "Las Vegas", Christie has produced a multitude of worldwide hits such as "I Did What I Did for Maria", "Is this the Way to Amarillo", "Sweet September" and "Happy Birthday Baby", which have made their way into the international charts.

He enjoyed just as much success with the theme tune "Avenues and Alleyways" for the TV show "Protectors - Auf Leben und Tod". In particular, the albums "Welcome to My Music 1 and 2" produced with Jack White, from which hits such as "Moonlight and Roses" and "Kiss in the Night" originated, are still unforgettable evergreens today.
