The relaxed and dreamy songs on the first Carl Fungus EP "SCHUMNUGS" are reminiscent of their namesakes Wilco's Schmilco and Harry Nilsson's groundbreaking Nilsson Schmilsson: Alternately cheeky and melancholy, they tell snapshots of life.

"Carl Fungus mixes a lot of DIY charm, slackerism, a few psychedelic influences and a little Americana into a coherent whole. Kurt Vile sometimes sends his regards, Mac DeMarco would probably grin through the gap in his teeth, especially on "Naked Dinner", and the quiet "Silence Is Easy" brings back memories of Wilco or the Weakerthans." - Neølyd
