Film "Punk Rock en Gran Canaria. Supervivencia y combate".
The documentary attempts to summarize 40 years of punk rock on Gran Canaria, told by its protagonists, represented by a total of 17 people from the scene. It is not only about how difficult it is to create alternative music in a complicated place, but also about the movements that emerge in this environment.
The director José Maria de Páiz will be on site and will also be playing with his band Faktótum at SO36 on 5.9.24, as well as the band Subresiduos, who also appear in the film.

MUTTIS LIEBLINGE: Kreuzberg punk rock cover band

SUBRESIDUOSis a 77 punk rock band that was founded in Las Palmas on Gran Canaria in the early 80s.They are a Canarian legend and are also part of the film that we are showing in the Werkstattkino.
Since then, they have given a large number of concerts on all the Canary Islands and were the first band to play in the Salto del Negro prison on Gran Canaria and opened the CC Centrum.
In 2010, the band got back together to record a single and two CDs and are currently recording their fourth album.
