Campunni Jazz Club - Jazz Afternoon

The Lower Rhine sextet with Wolfgang Schlippes-Thiede/flugelhorn and trumpet, Patrick Dowe/alto and tenor sax, Theo Becker/guitar and vocals, Wolfgang Thier/piano, Georg Ruppert/contrabass and Istvan Kiss-Juhasz/drums has plenty of groovy jazz, Latin and soul in its luggage. As a special guest from their joint and always sold-out charity concerts, the ensemble brings along singer Henrike Tönnes , who, in addition to singing, is also in demand throughout Germany as a professional speaker and presenter.

She won first place in the WDR2 competition "Best Band in the West" for the second time and will also be on stage at the Bürgerhaus with energy and soul! Since 2023, the Campunni Jazz Club has been delighted to welcome another member, bassist Georg Ruppert from the Niederrheinische Sinfoniker, who will further boost the band's existing joy of playing and add a wonderful bass foundation. The program will be varied and promises swinging jazz à la Frank Sinatra, rhythmic Latin grooves as well as soulful and funky music - there will be something for everyone!
