Bring your brush!
Radical care against domestic and sexualized violence
Reading / interactive performance
by ROSA
"Bring your brush!" is an artistic project on the topic of radical care, a collective practice of radical caring. The work is intended to raise awareness of the fact that there is a socially constructed difference in how care work and care is practiced depending on gender. The planned artistic work considers radical care as a potential to ensure life and survival in an unequal and insecure world. To this end, it invites you to two interactive performances in the Falte project space as part of the feminist day of struggle. The recurring motif of the performance is the brushing of the visitors' hair and the reading aloud of a text by them. Brushing hair and reading aloud acts as a means of radical concern, which is mostly female. The text on display for reading deals with the topic of care in the context of sexual and domestic violence in order to build a bridge to the dangerous side of radical care. Radical care, which is often exploited for the purposes of exploitation and oppression, is used in the performance as a conscious means of combating hatred and violence.
