Uwe Banton is known far beyond the borders of Germany and Europe. In a career that has now spanned more than three decades, he has earned himself a firm place in the Reggae Olympus - in the hearts of his fans anyway.
With his solid roots reggae, he always remains true to his original connection to Rastafari. Like reggae itself, the philosophy with strong spiritual traits originates from Jamaica and is lived by Banton, celebrated musically and carried out into the world as a message. His repertoire includes the light-hearted "Cannabis Song", with which he has been winning the hearts of the "Legalize It" movement for years, as well as heavy roots classics such as "Ithiopian Ites", "JAH Roots" and the lovers rock anthem "Thought I'd Let You Know".
