Brecht und seine Leute | Führung

Dorotheenstädtischer Friedhof is one of the most famous cemeteries in Berlin - partly because Brecht's final resting place is there. But many of his comrades-in-arms also rest there; many whom he influenced, encouraged and inspired or who supported him. If one were to draw threads between the graves, a densely woven network would emerge. The tour aims to trace these lines, references and influences.

With the burial of Johann Gottlieb Fichte around 200 years ago, the cemetery first came to the attention of the public and subsequently became an attractive resting place for personalities from the intellectual world with the burial of Karl Friedrich Schinkel and later with the burial of Bertolt Brecht. In cooperation with the Evangelical Cemetery Association Berlin Stadtmitte, the Brecht-Weigel Museum offers themed guided tours of the cemetery every Wednesday at 2 pm. The meeting point is the inner courtyard of the Brecht House.
