BONNIE RAITT - Live 2025

In the organizer's words:

Bonnie Raitt is a singer, songwriter and guitarist whose unique style combines blues, R&B, rock and pop. After 20 years as an insider tip, she made her breakthrough in the early 90s with her GRAMMY award-winning albums Nick of Time and Luck of the Draw. These albums included hits such as "Something To Talk About" and "I Can't Make You Love Me" as well as many others. The thirteen-time GRAMMY winner was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000, and Rolling Stone magazine named the slide guitar master one of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and one of the "100 Greatest Singers of All Time".

With 58 concerts on the calendar for 2024, Bonnie Raitt shows no signs of tiring. However, there are always healthy breaks built into every tour, and after a few weeks Bonnie is looking forward to getting back to doing what she loves most - traveling and playing live. Luckily, her band, crew and fans feel the same way! The year will conclude with a special tribute to Raitt's lifelong artistic achievements, as part of the 47th Honors Class at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

2023 began for Raitt by winning three GRAMMY™ Awards at the 65th annual ceremony: "Song Of The Year" and "Best American Roots Song" for the title track of her latest album "Just Like That...", as well as "Best Americana Performance" for "Made Up Mind". She was also honored for the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award, which she had already received the previous year. Raitt spent most of 2023 and 2024 on tour, performing in the USA, Australia, the UK, Ireland and Canada.

2022 was also an impressive year for Raitt, with a 75-date headlining tour of the US, the release of her critically acclaimed 21st album 'Just Like That...' on her independent label Redwing Records, receiving the Icon Award at the 2022 Billboard Women In Music Awards and the inclusion of her breakthrough album 'Nick of Time' in the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry. 'Just Like That...' hit #1 on six Billboard charts in its release week and stayed at #1 on the Americana Radio Album chart for ten consecutive weeks. The album's first single, "Made Up Mind," remained in the Top 3 on the Americana Radio Singles Chart for 17 weeks.

As well known for her lifelong commitment to social activism as she is for her music, Raitt has been actively involved in the environmental movement since the 1970s. She has performed at concerts around issues such as oil, nuclear power, mining, water and forest conservation. She was a founding member of MUSE (Musicians United for Safe Energy), which produced the historic NO NUKES concerts, album and film (1979). She also co-founded the Rhythm and Blues Foundation, which advocates for royalty reform and recognition of R&B pioneers. She continues to advocate for safe energy, environmental and conservation issues, social justice, human rights - especially Native American rights - as well as artists' rights and music education.
