Bonfire are without doubt one of the most important German hard rock bands of the past 50 years. In their most successful phase with the album classics 'Fireworks' (1987), 'Point Blank' (1989) and 'Knock Out' (1991), the group was one of the three most internationally respected formations in the country alongside the Scorpions and Accept, including triumphs throughout Europe and overseas, celebrated tours with Judas Priest and ZZ Top, gold records, high chart placings, TV appearances and more than 35 million clicks on YouTube for their hit 'You Make Me Feel' alone. The band's trademarks are and always have been deeply melodic hard rock songs, driven by captivating guitar work, grooving rhythms and catchy vocal melodies.
Right up to the present day, band founder/guitarist Hans Ziller and his first-class band regularly delight their fans with new releases and thrilling shows. On January 24, 2025, their latest album 'Higher Ground' will be released, a powerful prime example of the brilliant songwriting and unbridled joy of playing of the musicians involved. To shorten the waiting time until the album release, the first pre-release single 'I Died Tonight' including video will be released on October 22, 2024, followed by the second single 'I Will Rise' on November 19, 2024 and the ballad 'When Love Comes Down' on January 6, 2025, also with a video worth seeing.
To coincide with the release date of the new album, Bonfire will also be embarking on a major tour of Germany, Holland and Switzerland from January 21, 2025. A number of festival shows are also planned for the coming summer, and the second part of the 'Higher Ground' tour will start in fall 2025. Hans Ziller is already counting down the days until his band is finally back on stage. He says: "I'm really looking forward to the 'Higher Ground' tour. Bonfire anno 2025 are a close-knit group with outstanding musicians who give their all for this band.
We already tripled the number of visitors on the 2023 'Origins' tour, so I'm expecting completely sold-out concerts for 2025 with the great new album. The fire is back, and it's huge!" If you want to see for yourself, you should definitely get your concert ticket now!
