"People Power, our power - the revolution is being televised as the winds of change blow in Uganda, East Africa, with the rise of Bobi Wine - the pop star turned politician who wants to end Uganda's long brutal dictatorship. This documentary traces the inspiring activism of Bobi Wine as he rises from the ghettos of Kampala to become one of the country's most popular superstars. Bobi begins to use his music to denounce corruption and then becomes an independent MP to defend the rights of his people. The country's institutions are controlled by President Museveni, an autocratic tyrant who has been in power since 1986. Bobi and his wife Barbie decide to risk their careers, their families and their lives to challenge him and bring democracy to their country. But the state is determined to silence not only them, but anyone who supports their cause.
