Lalo (Lamin Leroy Gibba) is black, queer and in his mid-twenties. When he is thrown off course by the sudden death of his father, he tries to repress his loss with a rash thirst for action - which not only throws his own life out of joint, but also the lives of those closest to him. First and foremost his best friend Karla (Melodie Simina), who has achieved her career goals in the world of finance but feels increasingly exhausted and lonely. Together, Lalo and Karla navigate the trials and tribulations of growing up, between career, dating and family, in search of their place in life. The public series "Schwarze Früchte" takes a self-confident and unconventional look at the realities and experiences of black and queer people in Germany. (Gibba, D 2024 - FSK 12 - OmeU) We are showing the first three episodes of the series.
