In Rio de Janeiro and the outlying areas, LGBTQ+ youth of color are recreating ballroom culture according to their own ideas. The documentary sheds light on the world of ballroom culture and shows how this subculture, which emerged in New York in the 1960s, became a place of self-expression, resistance and creativity. With categories such as face, runway and voguing, ballroom provides a stage for participants to impress and assert themselves through fashion, dance and personality. The film captures the energy and intensity of this world, which is both a safe space and a merciless competition. (Juru & Vitã, BR 2024 - FSK 18 - OmeU)
