BIPoC Songwriting. Workshop mit Hannah Jaha im Rahmen des Black History Month

In the organizer's words:

In this workshop, participants learn how to turn their own stories into songs. Creative ideas
are transformed together into lyrics and melodies in order to develop new songs in a protected space. Here there is the opportunity to express oneself unfiltered and to use individual strengths to capture personal stories through songwriting.

The workshop is led by Hannah Jaha, an experienced singer/songwriter and artist who has been writing her own songs for many years, has studio experience and regularly performs on stage. With a passion for music and songwriting, Hannah will guide the group in creating songs that express and move emotions.

The workshop is aimed at people with previous experience as well as beginners.

The abbreviation BIPoC stands for Black, Indigenous and People of Color and is a self-designation of
and for people with experiences of racism. The workshop is intended as a safe space and is therefore open to all people who feel they belong to this group.

Black History Month 2025 is taking place in Heidelberg for the third time. Organized by Afro-diasporic communities, it also focuses on the perspectives of Black people in Heidelberg.
