BILLY IDOL

Rock legend Billy Idol returns to the stage and comes to Germany in 2025 under the motto "It's a Nice Day To ... Tour Again!" to Germany as well. Billy Idol will play his first of only four summer shows in Germany on June 18, 2025 at the Waldbühne in Northeim.

Billy Idol has been one of the faces and voices of rock 'n' roll for 46 years. His artistic CV matches the radiant light of the spotlight in which he finds himself. Between 1977 and 1981, as frontman of Generation X, Idol released three albums that made positivity, emotional depth and pop synonymous with punk rock. In 1982, Idol embarked on a remarkable transatlantic, cross-genre solo career. In the process, he combined the club pulse, the depth and drama of widescreen cinema, the rock desperation, the bold and simple lines of punk with the decadence of rock 'n' roll.

Idol has been touring the world non-stop for ten years and shows no signs of tiring. In 2021 he released the EP "The Roadside" and in 2022 the EP "The Cage", which were praised by fans and critics alike. Last year, Idol celebrated the 40th anniversary of his groundbreaking second album "Rebel Yell" with a Deluxe Expanded Edition. Idol will soon be announcing details of the upcoming release of his new album, due later this year.

In late 2023, Idol released "Billy Idol: State Line", a Vertigo Live concert film documenting his April 2023 show at the famed Hoover Dam - the first concert ever performed at the venue. The film highlights the history and significance of Hoover Dam and includes two unique sets of Billy Idol's legendary hits: a full-band concert at sunset with special guests that electrified and lit up the surrounding Black Canyon, and an acoustic duo set on the roof of the power plant at the base of Hoover Dam, which straddles the Colorado River, right on the Nevada-Arizona state line.

Just recently, Billy Idol performed at Ozzy Osbourne's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, along with Jack Black, Jelly Roll, Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan and others. This year, Idol himself could become part of the coveted Rock Hall of Fame, joining Mariah Carey, Oasis, Cyndi Lauper, The White Stripes, Joe Cocker and others in the Class of 2024. The names of the honorees will be announced at the end of April.
