The association Black German Arts and Culture e. V. is showing the documentary "Beyond the Intersection" at the Studiobühne in the Hofgartenhaus Düsseldorf. The film tells the exciting German-Ghanaian family story of Düsseldorf journalist Tina Adomako. Over a period of several decades - from the 1950s to the present day - the film accompanies the Adomakos on various journeys between Wuppertal, Düsseldorf, London, Accra, Kumasi and beyond. How was the family presented to a German television audience in the 1960s? What did and does the family's life really look like? What has changed over the years? What are the advantages and challenges of living Beyond the Intersection?

After the screening, there will be an opportunity to talk to Tina Adomako and ask questions. Anita Berger from Black German Arts and Culture e. V. will lead the discussion.
