Bernd Begemann & Die Befreiung

In the organizer's words:

Sometime in 2003, Bernd started looking for a new band. The new band was not to be the 4th edition of "The Answer", but something completely new. Accordingly, a new name was needed. After some back and forth, the line-up and the new name were finalized in March 2004: Bernd Begemann & Die Befreiung.

Since then, the four musicians have merged into a real band. From the very beginning, Achim Erz (drums), Ben Schadow (bass) and Kai Dohrenkamp (keyboards) were more than just an accompanying combo: at every gig, they liberate Bernd's songs anew.

While Bernd's solo concerts are legendary for their stories and tales, in which the singer and guitarist gets entangled again and again until you almost forget that you are actually in the middle of a song, the performances with the band are real rock concerts: you can dance!
