Berlin Cathedral, one of Berlin's most important cultural sites, will continue its rich tradition from November 2024 with a carefully curated cultural program featuring top-class artists. Under the title "Berlin Cathedral Concerts", it will open its doors to a broad audience interested in culture and offer a diverse program of classical and modern concerts, dance projects, readings and productions of the highest standard. On March 6, the successful singer and songwriter Max Mutzke and the brilliant jazz pianist Marialy Pacheco will present the concert evening "Our Night" as part of the "Berlin Cathedral Concerts".

Without band and electronics, but concentrated on the intimate dialog with Marialy Pacheco's elegant piano playing.
Born in Cuba and now at home in Germany for several years after performing all over the world, Pacheco is regarded as one of the most versatile and brilliant jazz pianists of the younger generation. The encounter with the man with the irresistible soul voice from the southern Black Forest came about in the context of her CD "Duets". From this first collaboration, the two have developed a varied and at the same time self-contained and very intimate program. The duo's shared joy in exchanging ideas across genre boundaries is evident at every moment, as is their curiosity for spontaneous impulses and improvisational escapades. However, Pacheco and Mutzke have the most fun interacting with their audience: clapping, humming and, above all, singing along to their heart's content!
