In all roles, from orchestral soloist, recitalist and chamber musician to conductor, Benjamin Hochman regards music as vital and essential. Composers, fellow musicians, orchestras and audiences recognize his deep commitment to insightful programs and quality performances.

Highlights of 2023-2024 include Bartok's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Benjamin Zander, as well as solo recitals in Jerusalem, Brattleboro and on Chicago's Live from WFMT program. His chamber music collaborations have taken him to Carnegie Hall, the People's Symphony Concerts, the Kronberg Festival in Germany and Krzyzowa Music in Poland. He conducts the world premiere of Gilad Cohen's Concerto for Harp, Strings and Horn, tours the USA with cellist Zlatomir Fung and is curator of the Kurtág Festival at Bard College New York.

Born in Jerusalem in 1980, Hochman laid his musical foundations as a teenager. Claude Frank at the Curtis Institute of Music and Richard Goode at the Mannes School of Music proved to be formative influences. Renowned for his virtuosity, boldness and imaginative projects, Roy Amotz has performed worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician with renowned ensembles and orchestras such as the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra and the Scottish BBC Symphony Orchestra. His long-standing partners include the Geneva Camerata, the Tel-Aviv Wind Quintet and the Meitar Ensemble, with whom he has performed in Israel, Europe, Asia, America and Australia. As a soloist and orchestral musician, Roy has performed with conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, James Levine, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Harding, Christophe von Dohnányi and Matthias Pintscher as well as at festivals such as the Lucerne Festival, the Verbier Festival and the Salzburg Festival.


Roy Amotz has a wide-ranging musical repertoire, from early baroque, played on period instruments, to contemporary and avant-garde music. He has premiered numerous new works for flute, including three flute concertos by A. Gilutz, H. Ajiashvili and N.R. Zahony.

A passionate and ever-curious artist, Roy Amotz has created the sensory experience "Fantasies" together with culinary artist Asli Hatipoglu, combining music, improvisation and culinary arts.
