Beginner Blues Workshop in Bonn with Ash from Dusseldorf. Let's grow the blues dance scene in Bonn together!

Blues Foundations 14:00 - 16:00
We will explore the captivating world of blues dancing-a style rooted in the rich traditions of African American music and characterized by its expressive movements and improvisational spirit. We'll focus on key blues aesthetics, including groundedness, pulse, improvisation and the aesthetic of cool within a partnership. This class is for you if you have never done Blues dancing or need a refresher. Come find your groove in a welcoming space for all!

Blues Foundations + 16:30 - 18:30
This class continues to explore the aesthetics of Blues dancing whilst traveling with your partner. Get comfortable with the dynamic connection between partners whilst adding your own personal inspiration and flair to the dance. You can take this class if you already joined the Blues Foundations class earlier or already feel comfortable with the pulse and step touch basic.

About Ash:
Ash discovered blues dancing in London in 2013 and was instantly captivated by its energy, aesthetic, and diversity.
Since 2016, she has been teaching weekly classes, first in London and now across North Rhine-Westphalia after relocating to Düsseldorf.
As a visitor to this Black American culture, Ash continues to expand her knowledge through historical research of the music and dance as well as learning from international instructors. She loves sharing her passion with others and always tries to ground her classes in a context that is appreciative of the roots of blues dancing.
What she loves most about blues dancing is its ability to foster creativity, connection with music and people, and a deep sense of empowerment in the body. For Ash, blues is more than just a dance-it's a feeling, an experience she delights in sharing and exploring with her students.

We make use of scaled pricing: SupporteD ticket: 15€ per workshop, Regular ticket: 20€ per workshop, SupporteR ticket: 25€ per workshop. We will make 2 supporteD tickets available per workshop.
