Beats & Stories - Be Democrat!

A show with interviews with student reporters and NDR presenter Yared Dibaba
NDR is once again a guest at the Kultur Palast and presents the show "Beats & Stories". The focus of this edition is the "Be Democrat" campaign, a joint project of NDR, the Kultur Palast Foundation and the student reporters from St. Paul's Catholic School. The aim is to strengthen understanding of democracy - but how exactly?

Pupils and invited guests talk about this in exciting interviews. In addition to the interviews, the young people will show their own creative interpretations that they have developed in preparation for this event.

The program includes:
🎤 Interviews by the reporter team Be Billstedt - Be Democrat (pupils from St. Paulus School) with fellow pupils
🎶 Artistic contributions from the workshops at St. Paulus School, as well as rap performances by Leila and Mieke, pupils from the Alter Teichweg primary and district school
✨ Elements from the HipHop Academy 2025 gala with the theme "Responsibility" as well as an exclusive after movie of the event
🎙 Moderation: NDR presenter Yared Dibaba will lead through the evening
