Beat & Beats — Trio Catch, Ensemble Resonanz & Dell-Lillinger-Westergaard

For the "Beat & Beats" festival, Trio Catch, Ensemble Resonanz and Dell-Lillinger-Westergaard will come together at resonanzraum on December 14, 2024, because there's a lot to celebrate: 70 years of Beat Furrer, 10 years of resonanzraum, and Christmas is just around the corner!

The three-part festival combines an "ear cracker special" by Trio Catch with two further concerts, in which Ensemble Resonanz, Dell-Lillinger-Westergaard and Trio Catch will also be in action. They meet in a variety of constellations and explore the boundaries between composition and improvisation, between closed and open form and between avant-garde jazz and the Viennese school. They will perform new co-compositions and existing works by Alban Berg, Christopher Dell, Beat Furrer, Christian Lillinger, Arnold Schönberg, Anton Webern and Jonas Westergaard, among others.

The program will be rounded off with short talks that provide an insight into the collaboration between the participants. In the relaxed atmosphere of the resonanzraum, everyone is also invited to exchange ideas with and among each other - over hot and cold drinks, mulled wine, drinks and small snacks at the bar.
