GRGR (Munich)

GRGR

GrGr's head is spinning. It's 2022 - the pandemic shock is easing, a war is breaking out across Europe and the old problems of a society that is too often racist at its core, of the compulsion to work in capitalism and, not least, of keeping a cool head are keeping a firm grip on him.
With "Kopf", GrGr presents his second album, in which the above themes are combined with many others to create an energetic and musically diverse mixture. A lot has happened since GrGr's debut album "So viel Zeit" was released in 2019 - concerts have been played in various countries, an EP ("Quarantäne", 2020) and a single ("Abstand", 2020) have been released. While there were moments of objectivity on "So viel Zeit", intoxication is now taking over heads, ears and dancing legs. After all, sometimes the best way to counter the feeling of powerlessness is with ecstatic dissolution of boundaries: For the album "Kopf", this means allowing new influences, be it references to the sound of NDW, analog synth sounds and a stronger emphasis on the guitar over the reprogrammed Gameboys that have always accompanied GrGr. Wave meets synth-pop, punky moments follow thoughtful ones.
The person behind the music always remains visible. GrGr describes situations, feelings and conditions that many people can relate to. He moves between contradictions and seeks his own personal happiness. GrGr simply lets it all out, denounces conditions, resigns and gets up again!
How nice would it be to simply leave everyone and everything behind and get on a rocket into space? Get out of your head and into the world.

SPUTNIK BOOSTER (Augsburg)

Sputnik Booster

Sputnik Booster & the Future Posers blast you right into the heart of a pixelated future with their uncompromising 8-bit sound. The band combines raw, distorted chiptune melodies with pounding beats and a good dose of DIY attitude. Their sound is reminiscent of the massive synths of old video games, but they take it up a notch: weird, loud and rebellious, as if they were shooting an 80s arcade machine into orbit with punk rock explosions. An absolute highlight of their performances is the rousing robot show, which transforms the stage into a futuristic spectacle. The machines dance and interact with the audience, while the band blurs the boundaries between man and machine with energetic beats and captivating visuals. Sputnik Booster & the Future Posers bring the energy of a broken Gameboy and mix it with thrashy electro vibes that are guaranteed to take you out of your comfort zone. Ready to destroy the pixels and fly into the future? Time for the 8-bit assault of the future!
