Baklava Klezmer Soul brings their unique blend of klezmer, Balkan and gypsy sounds to the stage. The five-piece band combines musical traditions in a creative way, creating a rousing sound that leaves no one sitting still.

As the name suggests, the music of Baklava Klezmer Soul is a tasteful interplay of different cultural ingredients - similar to the famous dessert baklava. With clarinet, accordion, vocals, percussion and bass, the musicians create a universe of sound characterized by frenetic melodies and swirling rhythms.

The band was founded in 2017 by Isacco Basilotta (clarinet) and Roberto Avena (accordion). Their aim: to interpret klezmer music in a Balkan version with gypsy elements and bring it to a wider audience. The ensemble is complemented by Michela Giordano (vocals & percussion), Lorenzo Armando (percussion) and Nicolò Cavallo (electric bass).
