In the organizer's words:

AUTOTEXT is a progfolk band from the Ruhr metropolis.
The band's musical panorama is centered around Mick Hanses as the singer. He is the protagonist of the lyrics, he brings them to life
and lays them on the acoustic sound bed - sometimes rumpled, sometimes made,
sometimes crumpled, sometimes smooth. The songs grow with the band, are nurtured,
tightened, tightened - sometimes over years.

The fact that this happens with Americana instrumentation (mandolin, mandola, dobro, banjo, guitar, double bass) and classical instruments (violin, viola, cello) and silliness (glockenspiel, harmonica) demonstrates the band's claim to
to move and entertain without taking itself too seriously. Role models can be
can be guessed at, but due to their wide dispersion, these are more echoes than quotations.

Autotext have been working and rehearsing for years, but only came together in their current line-up in 2020.
