SPRENGEL MUSEUM AND MARKTKIRCHE HANNOVER SHOW PHOTO SERIES OF THE VONOVIA AWARD FOR PHOTOGRAPHY ON THE UNIVERSAL THEME OF HOME
HOME is the major, unifying theme of the photographers who have won the VONOVIA AWARD FOR PHOTOGRAPHY, which can be seen in the Marktkirche in Hanover and in public spaces from March 16 to April 10, 2025. In their works, they take a variety of perspectives on this universal theme. Their photographs address aspects of security and hope as well as depictions of fragility and loss. They dare to take a courageous look at new beginnings and the end of life. This is the seventh time that the award has been presented, and this is the first time that it has been presented in a public space and a church, which gives the existential questions addressed by the photographic works a particularly impressive setting. With works by Jakob Eckstein, Sibylle Fendt, Christian Heymann,
Natalia Kepesz, Klara Meinhardt and Marlene Pfau. The exhibition is a cooperation between the Sprengel Museum, the Marktkirche Hannover and the VONOVIA AWARD FOR PHOTOGRAPHY.
