Ausstellung „w*im Hannover Faces & Friends“

On the occasion of the feminist day of struggle, we are exhibiting faces and statements on gender equality in the music industry. Every visitor can add their own statement including a Polaroid photo to the exhibition.

women* in music hannover (w*im) is an initiative launched by the coordination office UCOM Hannover and the MusikZentrum Hannover in cooperation. w*im joins the state-wide initiative musicNDSwomen*, which was founded on November 12, 2019 as the sixth state network of the umbrella organization and nationwide initiative Music Women* Germany to offer visibility, participation and presence to female* actors in the Lower Saxony music landscape. Through the MeetUp formats, as well as regular conferences and concerts, the aim is to achieve a 50/50 gender ratio in lineups in order to promote diversity in Lower Saxony's music culture.
We bring together women* in music of all ages, across genres and industries, support them in the music and cultural sector and encourage creative collaboration, strengthen the visibility of women* on and off the music stage, create common ground, trust and an exchange at eye level and develop a strong voice together.

women* in music hannover is aimed at all female and non-binary people and is committed to gender equality in the music industry.
