Ausstellung: Blattpoesie von Irmela Petersen

BLATTPOESIE

From 28.2. - 23.3.2025 the artist Irmela Petersen shows in the gallery DulsArt
her exhibition BLATTPOESIE.

The combination of fresh, colorful leaves from trees and bushes in front of sometimes abstract, sometimes landscape-like painting backgrounds creates surprising and special collages.

The close relationship of the leaves to the painted background and the way they are arranged evoke very different associations. A single leaf becomes a tree, a row of leaves becomes an avenue, then again a school of fish moves in underwater worlds in front of flowing colors.

Irmela Petersen grew up in North Friesland. She has been fascinated by nature and its details all her life and draws inspiration from it. She pays just as much attention to the play of light in the vastness of the sea with the cloud formations above the horizon as she does to the details in the vegetation, in grasses, flowers and the coloring of leaves in autumn.

Nature is unsurpassable in its diversity and balanced beauty!

In this BLATTPOESIE project, the interplay of a seemingly symmetrical leaf from nature with the artist's drawings and paintings becomes a sensual experience.
