Aurora - Wunderbares Polarlicht

Aurora - the Earth's aurora borealis - is one of the greatest wonders of nature. Auroras are rarely seen in our latitudes. Experience in a visually stunning show how they are created and what myths our ancestors used to explain the breathtaking spectacle in the polar sky at night.

Astrophotographer Kwon O Chul created a special setup of cameras especially for this program to draw us into a magical world through these vivid images. The result is the first real-time images of auroras in 360° in the planetarium.

Original images of auroras filmed on board the International Space Station (ISS) round off the program and make your visit to the planetarium an unforgettable experience.

In addition to the show, we show the current starry sky in a short LIVE section. Here you can find out what there is to discover in the sky at the moment and how you can orient yourself with the help of the stars.
