Erich Maria Remarque, Anna Seghers, Carl Zuckmayer, Oskar Maria Graf: Lioba Herhaus recommends important works of exile literature.

Her personal favorite: "Murmeljagd" - a book by Ulrich Becher, who, born in Berlin in 1910, left Germany when his 1932 debut Men Make Mistakes was burned by the National Socialists in 1933 as so-called degenerate literature.
