25 years of ASP.
25 years of Gothic Novel Rock.
ASP on their anniversary tour with Samsas Traum and Two Minds Collide.
ASP have been doing their thing for 25 years - authentic and always true to themselves and their fans - and this is to be celebrated in 2024 with a special anniversary tour. Not without exquisite company, of course: Samsas Traum and Two Minds Collide are not only special guests, but also part of joint appearances as part of the mini-festival concept. Nic Frost (ex-Spielbann) has also been announced as a duet partner in the ASP set.
In 1999, a young band asked the German rock landscape in a seemingly contradictory yet self-confident manner: "Did you miss me?". Especially the discerning and dissenters rewarded this chutzpah and have been answering the question with a consistent yes for 25 years. Because the band with the scarily made-up frontman has always gone about its work with a good dose of bulkiness and has mastered the balancing act between lyrical ambition and playful lightness. At the same time, she plays several genres from heavy rock to electro to folk ballad - and ultimately none. Because no pigeonhole fits - too many styles serve the stories published on the equally exciting and courageous concept albums.
25 years in which mastermind and namesake Asp Spreng has spun fantastic stories within the framework of several narrative cycles and established a completely unique style of music for this purpose - Gothic Novel Rock. Most recently, the band surprised with the hit album "Horrors", which offered an exciting change to the previous nested narrative structures with musical short stories - i.e. novellas instead of novels - and provided an exciting intermezzo - before Asp will devote himself to the tower cycle.
