In his early 30s, Arturo lives with his parents again, has no job, no success and hardly any friends. His penchant for misadventure is as great as his disorientation. He stumbles clumsily through his life, causing destruction of all kinds. Arturo is a kind of Buster Keaton of the well-to-do bourgeoisie - a class to which he belongs, but whose codes and lifestyles are completely alien to him. A turbulent, bittersweet comedy.

In Arturo a los 30, director Martín Shanly, who plays the film's (anti-)hero himself, shows a great talent for drawing authentic characters and a great understanding of the art of comedy, in which tragedy and humor are by no means mutually exclusive. (FSK 18)
