What you can expect:

This ArtNight is all about a colorful owl! We mix different techniques such as sprinkling, dabbing and spackling to bring real street art vibes to the canvas. With bright colors and urban flair, you'll conjure up a real work of art in graffiti style. Perfect for anyone who really wants to get started!

What you will learn:

Acrylic:

Acrylic paint is a real all-rounder! When applied thinly, it can be used to create watercolor effects; when applied thickly, it creates a high color intensity. It can be thinned with water, dries quickly, is odorless and waterproof when dry.

Wet-on-wet:

The wet-on-wet technique involves working quickly and directly on the paint that has just been applied and is still wet, or spreading it with another layer of paint. It can be used to create beautiful organic and soft color transitions.

Pastos:

Pastose paint application, also known as the impasto technique, can usually be recognized by the relief-like application of the paint. It is a paint application that you can often not only see, but even feel. This technique involves applying the paint as thickly and opaquely as possible.

Spackling:

You can achieve great color effects with a palette knife and create a wide variety of textures that would be impossible with a brush. Depending on how you hold the palette knife and the pressure you apply, you can influence the thickness and shape of the paint application or removal.

Sprinkling (spray technique):

Sprinkling is a form of abstract art in which paint is dripped, sprinkled, sprayed or poured onto the canvas. It is an expressive, spontaneous, abstract painting technique that creates an expressive and dynamic pictorial effect.

- High-quality canvas, stretched on a stretcher frame (30 cm x 40 cm, primed)

- 2 flat brushes

- 1 round brush

- Spatula card

- 12 high-quality acrylic paints

- easel

- ArtNight apron

Notes:

You will of course take your painted picture home with you, all other materials are for on-site use only.
