Anca Munteanu Rimnic: Rite For Fall

INTERNATIONAL SUMMER FESTIVAL 2024

RITE FOR FALL is a performance in public space that will be shown throughout the summer festival in an empty store at Neuer Wall 42. In the glass-box architecture of the former lamp store, Berlin-based visual artist Anca Munteanu Rimnic interacts with performers in a choreographic staging of a trembling haystack and creates a sequence of dramatic miniatures as a grotesque condensation of human life. With fragmentary images and sound by Arno Kraehahn, the work intervenes in the busy city center and turns passers-by into spectators and the city into a stage. On Hamburg's most exclusive shopping street, an artistic intervention is created in the midst of luxury and lifestyle.
