A public execution is an event not to be missed. And so we welcome you. For we have turned the unlawful claiming of male privilege into our freedom. We have heated each other in our lusts, shamed and shat on arbitrary

boundaries. And so we ascend socially to heaven, this is my body, hoc est corpus meum, and no master knows how to lead us out of temptation. But to you we reserve the right to judge which end we shall come to. And even if we were already out of the way, the like would still remain.

Anastasius Lagrantinus Rosenstengel was probably the last person to be executed in Europe for "fornication of woman with woman". Assigned to the female sex at birth in 1687, dey left the orphanage at fifteen and put on "men's clothes". After years of traveling as a prophet, Rosenstengel fought in the War of the Spanish Succession and "caressed" "beautiful women" with a "stuffed male member made of leather". In 1717, he deserted and married a woman. In 1721, Anastasius Lagrantinus Rosenstengel was put on trial by the Inquisition and sentenced to death.

Based on Angela Steideles In Männerkleidern , the performance brings a historical figure to the stage who breaks all boundaries set by gender assignment and status.

The gender identity of the historical person (in today's terms) is not known. The neutral pronouns "dey/demm" are therefore used.
