Welcome to a perfectly normal day in a perfectly normal GP surgery! The waiting room is bursting at the seams, the receptionist is waiting in the wings and the doctor is already stressed as usual. Dr. Annegret Kern is just about to start her consultation when water starts dripping from the ceiling. Water damage in the consulting room!

While medical assistant Natia tackles the problem, Dr. Kern keeps her patients happy in the waiting room. She begins to talk about her day-to-day work between consultations, emergency services, training, pharmaceutical consultations and paperwork. Gradually, cracks in the healthcare system come to light and Dr. Kern's life is further removed from the proverbial goddess in white than one might expect. Fortunately, she has the down-to-earth Natia at her side and many a watchful eye is cast on her from the highest levels. There are more things between heaven and earth possible in a GP's surgery than a health insurance bill would suggest.

In a furious triple role, Heike Feist transforms the theater into a waiting room. With heart and a sharp eye, she pokes fun at the relationship between doctor and patient and also takes a swipe at the pharmaceutical industry and health insurance companies. And in the course of this rousing and informative evening of theater, a doctor as we think we know her according to many clichés becomes a doctor we would all like to have.
