In An Evening with , Alex Franz Zehetbauer transports us to a surreal piano bar: a singer at the piano and his repertoire accompany the guests' get-together. Between catchy tunes and tricky humor, he places the audience on the fine line between seriousness and absurdity. An Evening with traverses different moods and genres - from the poetic lullaby to the folk song to the pop song - and explores the diverse roles of songs and their cultural impact. The evening is characterized by a certain enchantment through a simultaneously strange and familiar closeness -- and the song as such is brought into various choreographic positions, both factually and symbolically.
